North Cascades National Park, Washington: July 27

Deception Pass- Thankfully I drove over this bridge BEFORE we stopped to look at it!

Skagit River- with Bear Paw Prints by the river?

 Diablo Lake
A brown bear walked by us while we were sitting on the dock at Colonial Creek Campground on Lake Diablo. The bear walked down the trail into the bushes by the campsites.  Ken wanted to follow him down the trail- I wasn't sure that was the best idea.

 Washington Pass Overlook

Ebey's Landing, Coupeville, Washington: July 26

The White Wizard went for a ride on the ferry from Port Townsend to Coupeville- which was a lovely town with a historic waterfront.  A local gentleman on the ferry recommended The Front Street Grill for local oysters, and I tried the muscles which were so much more tender than New England muscles- the food was excellent!
Great view of the Olympic Mountains behind Ken in this photo.
We biked to this awesome spot @ Ebey's Landing.

Olympic National Park, Washington: July 21-24, 2017

Drove over this 4 mile bridge connecting Oregon to Washington.

Stayed at Quinault Lake, when we kayaked around the bend we came upon the happiest of cows- on their own private beach!!

Our campsite was next to the world's largest spruce tree.

Our free campsite @ Beaver Lake- what a view outside our bedroom window!

The best hike was at the Ancient Groves through the rainforest, @ Sol Duc.

 Sol Duc Falls.
