The White Wizard driving up Poncha Pass.
This was a beautiful pass- without the typical Colorado cliff edges- instead it opened up to the most beautiful vista valley at the top that went on for miles- surrounded by mountains.
Joyful Journey Hot springs was within this mountain valley- this was the view from the RV!
They also had yurts and tipis for rent.
There were 3 mineral spring pools of various temps- I preferred the coolest one: around 99- 102 degrees- enjoyed 2 nights here!
Lots of wild bunnies in Colorado- this was a baby I saw one morning.

Canon City, Colorado: June 18
Started a bike ride along the Arkansas Riverwalk- a path following the river...
then went uphill on Tunnel Drive path which brought us to several tunnels through the mountain
Thanks to Greg- our Christian mountain biker friend we met at Brues Ale House in Pueblo- who gave us the scoop on trails here in Canon City- this trail was great!
View from the hill we had to climb to get to the tunnels.

Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado- June 13
Bear Lake: Elevation 9575'
Nymph Lake- over 10,000' where the snow hasn't melted yet in June.
Glacier Basin Campground (above)- this was the view from our campsite. This was the last site available for this night in the park (we spent an extra night at Boyd Lake because there ware no sites available last night. It was a bit of a challenging night at 8500' elevation while not quite acclimated yet, and wind gusts up to 40 mph. (I was surprised the tents were still standing in the morning!) I did not sleep much this night- but it was a beautiful site!
The next morning we drove park of the auto road- then headed south.
Got up close and personal with Mr. Elk grazing on the side of the road.

Boyd Lake State Park: Loveland, Colorado- June 11-12
I went to the beach area at the park and relaxed for about an hour when I noticed a very dark cloud rolling in. It looked ominous enough that I decided to bike back to the camp site. Just after I arrived it started to hail! (See video above) Thankfully nothing was damaged. We were very lucky because the storm intensified as it went North towards Wyoming where they reported 2.5 inch hail and a tornado that touched down!
Biking the trails along Boyd Lake.
