Pleasant Valley Alpacas: Hesperus, Colorado- June 21

 We were blessed to park the White Wizard by the Alpacas, and enjoyed watching these gentle, calm and curious animals who were so quiet all night.
 They are sheared once a year in the spring, and their soft fur is made into yarn to make socks, hats, rugs...
 The Alpacas will occasionally go on a road trip to other states for breeding. They will drive them to Denver where they are picked up by Alpaca Transport to go to various states.
 The owner gave us a wonderful tour of her farm which had 140 alpacas that they own or board, and are very well cared for.  She obviously loves these beautiful animals as she leans over to give one of her babies a kiss.
