Redwoods, California: July 9-11, 2017

 Humboldt Redwoods State Park:  Mahan Plaque Loop Trail (7/9/17)

 Tree Hugs!

 The fallen Dyerville Giant- was 370' tall, 17' in diameter and probably weighed over a million pounds!  A ranger 1 mile away said he thought there was a train wreck when it fell!

 Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park:  Simpson Reed Grove and Peterson Memorial Trail. (7/12/17)

 This was our campsite @ Florence Keller County Campground- sleeping among the redwoods.

 This Elk was grazing in someone's garden.  Every once in a while they would come out and bang some pots and pans together and the elk would stop and look up, then they would go back in the house and the elk would resume his meal.  Not sure how he got into the garden in the first place- must have jumped the fence- because the rest of the herd was outside the fence.

 Clam Beach @ Sunset.  Pretty windy- which would cause this ripple effect in the sand. (7/10/17)
