Glacier National Park, Montana- August 6-9

Hiked the Trail of the Cedars Nature Trail- over to Avalanche Creek Trail. (8/6/17)
 Gorgeous trail!
This is where Avalanche Creek Trail ends up- at Avalanche Lake looking across to 4 cascading waterfalls.
We hiked to the other side of the lake with a view of the mountains on the side we came from.
Altogether about a 6 mile hike!

August 8th
We got up early to try to beat the crowds, and it still took us 3 hours to get the shuttle up to Logan Pass- 1.5 hours just waiting in line for the shuttle! So either get to the shuttle by 6:30am or don't come to the park in August!
But it was totally worth the wait!  We hiked the Hidden Lake Trail which was about 3 miles roundtrip.  This Marmot was looking up at Ken while he was sitting on this rock!

Bighorn sheep

I love how I was able to get cliffs, snow and wildflowers in one shot.

A Mountain Goat enjoying the view.

Sir Frogbert was thrilled to make it to the top!

Squirrels look different up here

And this was the highlight of my day: 2 different Mountain Goats walked right by us- how majestic they are.
